Personal Best
Like many of the people I coach, I am a lifelong athlete. I started young, running around middle school and riding horses around the arena.
As I matured, I narrowed my focus to running. After hiring a private coach and committing to our plan, I earned a D1 full-ride scholarship to Vanderbilt University where I broke the 10,000 meter school record in my first season.
When I graduated, it was less than 2 years from the day I bought a road bike to the day I signed my first professional cycling contract.
During the 11-year pro cycling career that would follow, I reached numerous podiums both in the USA and Europe, became the 2016 USA Cycling Hill Climb National Champion and was on the 2020 USA Cycling Olympic Long Team.
While racing on WWT teams such as EF Education TIBCO-SVB, I made memories of a lifetime. Fans cheered me on, watching from the USA and Europe, when I bridged solo to a key break in the 2022 Women’s Tour de France Avec Zwift. Later that year, I got the joy of handing podium flowers to young fans after winning the GC, Points, and Mountains classifications at the CIC-International Women's Tour of the Pyrenees.
It was always achievement of my personal best that mattered the most to me: knowing I did something far beyond what I dreamt possible. With the right support and coaching, I found my limits and passed them.
